WWI changed the world forever. Our latest exhibition explores how the War impacted the residents of the Botany area, both here and on the Front.

You will see the faces of local men who enlisted in the Australian Imperial Forces and read the diary of a Mascot man who survived the trenches. The work of women, who knitted socks for the troops, is also told through the fascinating story of a Botany woman who sent a secret letter to the Front in a sock she had knitted.

The story of WWI is often told through military facts. This exhibition tells the stories of local families through their photos, letters and artefacts.
